South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants 2026 Deborah L. White, CMA (AAMA) Scholarship

You have been invited to participate in the chance to win a scholarship, of up to $500, through the South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants. This scholarship, recently renamed in honor of a long-standing member and educator, was established to assist Medical Assisting Students needing financial support to acquire the skills needed to take the AAMA certification exam. The Scholarship will be awarded at the South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants Conference to be held in March ​2026. Deadline to Apply: January 15, 2026

We are the state level affiliate of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the National organization that oversees the profession of Medical Assisting. We serve as an information source and networking group dedicated to the occupation of Medical Assisting.
SCSMA Statewide Community Service Project: SCSMA Paws for a Cause
President Licurs has elected to continue SCSMA Paws for a Cause to be our community service project for the 2025-2026 year.
This will continue the effort made at the 2024 conference to raise donations for the Anderson County Paws and expand to other shelters in the state.
President Licurs is requesting SCSMA members collect donations for the shelter in their community or bring donations to either of our workshops during the year.
If donations are taken directly to your local shelter, please take a photo documenting the donation. Submit the photo to Crissy Taylor, CMA (AAMA).
